DUSTIN CHOUINARD

Dustin Chouinard

Dustin was born in Butte, Montana in 1976, and grew up in southcentral Montana. After graduating from Absarokee High School in 1994, Dustin attended Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota. While attending college, Dustin spent his summers back in the Absarokee area working as a whitewater river guide. After earning a degree in Political Science, Economics, and English writing in 1998, Dustin attended the University of Montana School of law. While in law school, and for the first five years of his practice after being admitted to the bar in 2001, Dustin worked for a prominent Missoula law firm before relocating to the Bitterroot Valley in 2006, where he joined David Markette to ultimately form Markette & Chouinard, P.C. In addition to practicing law, Dustin has enjoyed raising kids and serving as a volunteer, coach, and organizer for various youth athletic and educational groups in the valley.

Dustin maintains a statewide practice. His primary practice areas include: Personal Injury Law (representing clients injured in automobile and other types of accidents, victims of sexual abuse, and other individuals injured as a result of someone else’s actions); Insurance Law (representing clients against their own or third party insurance companies); Criminal Defense; and, Family Law (representing clients in dissolution of marriage/divorce proceedings, parenting plan proceedings, guardianship matters, estate planning, probate matters, and small business matters).
